It has been a hard slog but now the house is finally sold, or officially anyway. It’s taken some time to get to this stage and if I’ve learnt anything, it’s that location, location, location matters. It’s not that there is anything wrong with my home of 28 years or not in my eyes anyway but, it does have its problems.
Main road, little garden and being a cottage, low ceilings and many steps here and there. It has been called novel, a place of character and many other things with most being complimentary. The down side. Traffic noise and not only to the front, the little garden also. I call my garden area Bonsai because it’s so small.
Now the above is behind and I can look forward to a new future. Homeless of sorts for a while, but with so many new challenges ahead. Early retirement, ten years early in fact. A new country soon. A new language, new friends to make and best of all, a place in the future that will be quite and tranquil. Yes that is a must. Before then though, there is the actual move to be arranged and that starts with vacating my beloved home of so long.
